Our Classrooms

Our Nursery programme provides an environment that is predictable and calm, but also offers challenges and surprises. Toddlers thrive on being encouraged into exploration and creativity. Opportunities arise for individual interactions and individualised programmes that can adjust to the infants’ own rhythms. The Nursery has its own outdoor space, set up to be physically active and explore the outdoors.

Nursery 0.5-2 Years

Our Preschool daily programme and activities are based on the child’s interests and will provide active learning experiences and challenges to meet the needs of individual children. Four-year-old children are provided with activities to prepare them for school. Set activities include early numeracy and literacy games, movement, rhythm, drama, physical skills, opportunities to share their knowledge with their friends, and experiences that will challenge their thinking.

Christian Samoan Special Character

Your child will be involved in interactive Bible stories, songs, prayers and activities at Lalaga. We are a multi-cultural preschool which values the language, ethnicity, religion, and culture of each child. We actively acknowledge and are committed to the partnership inherent in the Treaty of Waitangi.

Lalaga is also uniquely Christian Samoan in its heritage, values and outlook. Children will be exposed to Samoan language, cultural stories and activities. All children are included and will be encouraged to participate in the various culture and language learning opportunities.
